"Avoiding the SSO Tax" by Cerby

At some point, every leader responsible for cybersecurity procurement has encountered the challenge of vendors restricting single-sign-on (SSO) capabilities to higher-tier product packages. Vendors often claim, "SSO is only available in the Enterprise package," which can be frustrating. This practice is concerning, as the security of a company should be a priority for any provider they engage with.

Check out this insightful article by my friends at Cerby, which provides strategies to "Avoid the SSO Tax: Stay Secure Without Paying More."

My personal recommendation is to negotiate that SSO is included in your preferred agreement before signing the contract. Requesting it afterward will not happen!

Additionally, be aware of the vendor's fiscal year-end; if you can time your negotiations accordingly, you might secure a better deal.
